Sound System Primer Submission

The next step is to record yourself to help you pinpoint which French sounds are difficult for you personally and also to provide you with instructions for strengthening these weak links throughout the course.

The Activity

Here is what you will record yourself saying:

  • The First Set of unrounded, oral vowels {a...i...u...e...o}
  • The Second Set of unrounded, oral vowels {ə...ɛ...ɔ}
  • The Rounded Vowels {y...ø...œ}
  • The Nasal Vowels {ɛ̃...ɔ̃...ɑ̃}
  • The French words "de-ʒa" and "mi-ɲən"

If you need to review, refer back to the Sound System Primer.

Once you have it committed to memory, email a recording to French@mimicmethod.com for review.
